    Black house 1 piece lights

    I have a set of 1 piece lights,but my ? is how long do i keep a heat gun to it. can't find a dirct thread

      Don't hold it in one spot too long.
      Just keep it on there long enough to loosen the glue up a bit.

        pop it in the open, its quicker....even heat transfer so all the glue heats up the same time. Hit the search button

          I used a heat gun until the glue started to get soft, and then used two or three flat head screw drivers to pry the lense off slowly...be careful when you do this, if the lense doesnt want to come off easily heat up the glue more

            If I put them in the oven how long do I leave in for im afraid of melting them dont have a heat gun or blow dryer

              Stick the headlights inside an oven one at a time for 7 minutes at 250 degrees(make sure to preheat to 250 degrees)

                x2 on the oven, and lots of screwdrivers.

                  ive done about 5 headlights now anywhere from 89' n up preheat the oven to 200 then put the headlights in there for like 10 min or until hot take it out then separate either by hand or persuasion (screwdriver) i also had gloves just some random cotton ones not that its to hot but when your done painting them put the lens back on and put in the oven another five min take out and press back together and wait for it to cool n ur done i just did a pair yesterday to a 1990 mx-6 came out awesome

                      if im not mistakin its glass it wont melt plus 200 is not that hot usaully keeps food warm

                        JDM lights are plastic so they can melt if you leave them in for too long...USDM lights are glass

                        I still say that a heat gun is the best way to do the JDM lights, you have more control over where the heat is concentrated
