Best way to remove paint off of alloy rims?

My 1993 alloy rims were painted black, what's the best way to remove the paint?

This won't damage the rim? So basically I can just apply the paint stripper to the rim, follow whatever instructions are on the bottle/can and that's it?

I used it plenty when I had my 240sx.
I swear I changed the color of those wheels every 2 months or so.
I took the tire off and just covered the wheel in stripper.

Awesome! Thanks. I guess that will be my project this Sunday; remove the paint from my rims. Haha

            Are you planning on repainting?
            Or just keeping them silver?

Along with it taking the black off, it will also remove the factory clear coat. Just letting you know.

That's why I asked if he was planning on repainting.

Just use the paint stripper as they're saying and if you need some clear, just get some and spray them on your wheels.

So use clear paint after I use the paint stripper?

EDIT: What about the center caps? Do the same thing to those?

Yes do the same with the center caps. If you mess them up just go to a JY and find some replacments.

Can this be done without removing the tire?

If you carry time like a watch.

I'd just remove the tire, this will take a while, with tire on nearly double the time.
Meh, not feeling the honda game anymore.

it will be a verry messy job with paint stripper..

why not sand them and spray them another color instead?

because if you do strip them.. they will need to be buffed, just reclearing won't look to great
