Im pretty sure youd have to seek out an aftermarket hood.

Are you talking about how the hoods on the Firebirds have them?

    If so wowsaz.

easy, just go to home depot and get spacers then open ur hood and there r 2 bolts on each side connecting a hinge to the hood unbolt them and put the spacer between the hinge and hood.

ive seen this done on a few cb's now but can anyone chime in and tell me do your get anymore room in the front of the engine bay by doing this? reason i ask is my wastegate is hitting my hood ( i have this great little dent, pisses me off) and i would like to get some more room in there.

I dont think you would gain anymore room in the front because the hood latch is in the same spot so the hood position in the front would not change.

i dont think i'd really like it since it'd throw off the alignment between the fender and the hood. But idk, little panel gaps and stuff bother me, i like everything to line up.

The spacers as mentioned you can get them at home depot. Some people use the bearings or whatever out of skateboards. Anyway You MIGHT need a longer bolt so keep that in mind.

Take a little time and swell that dent out, give yourself a big bump like you see on eclipses and some other cars. I could dig it.

I know that my hood dips down in the middle... I've seen some hoods that raise up in the middle... I dunno if it would be enough to clear your wastegate, but may be something you could look into... May not make a difference at all, just trying to give you an idea

I had to just cut a little piece out from the liner of my hood when I had my turbo civic. The waste gate was rubbing against the hood. I couldn't stand it.
