to get to the screws holding the bottom of the headlights on the car you have to take the bumper off right? Now is it just the bumper skin you have to take off or the whole bumper itself?

Ok, check it out. This link is the complete DIY headlight & bumper removal thread. Its basically 2 threads in one. Both a bumper removal thread and a headlight replacement thread. It is complete with pics and what tools were used. The entire thing can be done in less than an hour if you know what you're doing. I did it myself for the first time and was done fairly quickly. Its not hard.

i read all of those threads already
my problem will b that my bumper cover is ziptied to the car since when i got the car it was screwed on and then it kinda fell off when we were trying to load the car on a trailer...thus the zip ties. now once i cut those zipties ill have access to the actual bumper itself.
how is the bumper skin attached to the bumper originially? maybe i can remount it properly the same way so i dont have to buy a new bumper skin

2 phillips screws in each fender well
??? plastic screw clips under the headlights and center grill
4 plastic screws under the front splash shield
look in the diy section as how to remove the bumper completely. u can't just take of the cover cuz of the hidden screws under the headlights. i think 4 bolts hold the bumper assembly behind the bumper lights. from there, should just come off. good luckO'skool fo sho! You might hate, but I been doin' this long before you know.

oh believe me i can take just the cover off. we drove an hr with it in the bed of my dads truck when we had to tow the car home (left me stranded for the second time)
the cover and the styrofoam piece(if i remember right) will come off when i cut the zip ties. and shouldnt there be a bar of some sort behind that and that is what is bolted to the car? all i know is with the bumper skin off the front end doesnt look like the picture in those threads and the only things keeping my bumper skin on are about 14 zip ties
if i had a digital camera i could take pictures of the ghetto rigging and post them but im gonna have to do it with disposable cameras and wait to get the pictures developed and on cd b4 i could post them
the cover was screwed in (totally not oem or any kind of professional mount by the looks of it) when i got the car. when we tried to load it on the trailer it got caught on the ramps and the screws ripped thru the back of the holes and it came off. most of the holes along the upper rim of the bumper skin are still intact though. thats why im wondering how its attached from factory.

fromt the factory the bumper cover is attched by a series of plastic pain in the ass push screws on the top and bottom, the suck ass,buy a package of them if you want it back to stock, and as for whats behind the bumper cover is the actual bumper, its fiberglass and its black. the bumper cover should also be held on by 2 screws on each side in front of both front tires.

thank you. thats the answer i was looking for. do u think i could get those pins from the dealer? or from an auto parts store? i might as well fix that also if i can while im doing everything else
this next weekend im doing the black housing headlights, installing amber corners, putting the diy grill i did on, and putting black housing bumper lights. now if i can salvage the bumper skin then i will also be doing the mesh insert for that to match the grill. will also be replacing the washer fluid reservoir so that ill have working squirters.
of course ill b taking pics before and after and will finally make a member's ride thread of my own once i get the photos back on cd and figure out where to host them.
anyways guess ill b calling honda tomorrow. might check on the s2000 antenna also

yeah honda sells bags of "bumper cover screws" there plastic so you hafta becareful because they strip very easy. the bag go for around $5 but i'm not sure just give them a call.and you will need 4 screws for the inside fender area but any screws with a large head would work.just call honda and tell them you need all the screws to hold on the bumper COVER,and i'm sure they will know what you mean because they have a comp screen right in front of them. peace.

went to honda today. those bumper cover screws were 2 something a piece and u need atleast 11 of them but i got those and couple other fasteners for my front end project, most of which they had to order.
they wanted 100 for the lip and 54 ea for the hazard and rear defroster switches so i was like no thanks so i guess its ebay or here for those parts.
