no they did not look anything like that they looked terrible when i got them.
lots of sanding

220 grit dry
320 grit dry
400 grit dry
600 grit dry
800 grit dry
1000 grit wet
1500 grit wet
then i polished with mothers mag and aluminum polish.

(this was probably my best one.the other ones were terrible even worse than this.)

unbelievably clean & shinny, i gotta do this on my oem 15'' alloys one of these days.

Do you guys spray anything on top to protect the finish after polishing? I would think that would be a somewhat wise idea? Dunno.
