Bisimoto Spec ATI Engine Damper H22/F22/F23

The patented Bisimoto spec ATI Super DamperŪ is the only harmonic damper designed exclusively for high performance F22a, F22b, F18a, F20a SOHC-series engines. The proven elastomer design is actually two dampers in one: an inner and outer damper in two shells that bolt to the crank hub.

All units are SFI manufacturer certified and exceed SFI spec. 18-1. The patented Bisimoto/ATI Super DamperŪ also gives you guaranteed performance. Your car will run as fast or faster than with your present damper.

Dyno tests have proven the Super DamperŪ will allow the engine to produce as much as 45 HP over a Fluidampr at 7,500 RPMs and commonly 12 to 30 HP over OEM and other aftermarket brands in high boost appkcations. Timing accuracy is vastly imporved, and hence huge power gains are realized.
This is a must have for high rpm road race, auto-x, drag race and street/strip 240whp+ boosted and high rpm all motor setups.

Available in both street (grooves for ac, power steering and alternator)
and full race version (Grooves only for alternator)

    $444.99 Street Damper
    $474.99 Full race

    Awesome

When I build my block, or upgrade cams, whichever comes first, this will be on the parts list.

Is this currently used on all Bisi F series motors?? ( Practice what you preach right ? )
Any Dyno sheets to be posted to support your gain claims ??? ( its Bisi so i know for a FACT much D&R has been done on this but this thread is where all that info belongs. )

        Hp

I am not sure of the hp numbers, but getting a good damper is a must if you want a high revving engine to last.

The fluid damper pulley was on my list, but I don't think it has the street version available for power steering and ac. I am running both, so this is a great option.

If I remember right, the standard damper units are around 300, but they may have gone up in price since I last looked at them. I am willing to spend a little more money on one that lets me keep my dd comfortable.

I'm sure the +45 hp is what could be expected on an already built and turboed full race platform......like an extra 45hp on an already 600whp. Us N/A and street guys shouldn't expect near that much.

I was also looking at the fluid damper but this has replaced it on my list now!! Awesome support for the average Joe from Bisimoto yet again. Thanks Bisi!

Yes Bisi has always had one on his Insight as well one on the Castro F22 build he had done. I personally run them as well on all my high hp builds.

We personally will not run a high hp/rpm motor with out one due to the fact that the crank shaft or oil pump can fail and cause major engine failure. The reason why it creates more power is due to the fact it will keep the crank from twisting back and forth due to harmonics while spinning at high rpms which will give solid and consistent timing for both cam and ignition which will show a very good amount of HP gains especially on a high hp turbo motor

Yes you are correct you would expect much more power increase from a high hp turbo application. Other than hp gain the biggest advantage of a proper damper is the fact that it will greatly reduce the risk of damaging the short block due to harmonics at high rpm which can destroy bearings, oil pump gears or even worse yet snap a crankshaft

What is the difference between the Bisi ATI Super damper and the H22/F22/F23 Super Dampers that are listed on the ATI website? Part number 918467 (Race damper with Alt only) is one that I have had on my Summit Racing wish list for a while.

I don't know if I want to make it 240hp+, but would It benefit my H?

It will benefit any motor setup. Like I mentioned before biggest benefit will be it will keep harmful harmonic vibrations under control to prevent damages to the bottom end and will pick up hp even on low hp setups

OK so it isn't an actual Bisimoto spec ATI Super Damper.

                    Is that $475+ shipping?

Lol your getting my words all twisted up. Bisi has a strong relationship with ATI and has work side by side with there engineers to help develop the D-series. So yes they will be Bisi Spec

                              Late, but...

Maybe this image will help show what it actually looks like on our engines. The damper replaces the stock crank pulley with a pulley containing rubber between the pulley surface and where the pulley bolts to the stock pulley's hub (that white section, I'm guessing). The rubber absorbs harmonic vibrations, therefore reducing wear on anything connected to the crankshaft.
