There was some pretty vicious name calling on cb7t a while back that resulted in sexual-orientation slurs being blocked. Some people got offended, and it required some enforced censorship.

I blocked such slurs because they are offensive, immature, and really have no place on a car forum. I'll probably block them on CD5tuner when that re-opens as well. It was an oversight that i didn't.
I didn't block "homo" for a number of reasons. One, it can be used as part of other words that CAN be useful in automotive discussions, and if sexual orientation must be discussed, "homosexual" is one that I'll allow. It's not commonly used as an generic insult, so it's rarely used for anything but mature discussion.
Velocifero, please lay off the slurs. As a member of the staff, I'd rather not have you setting that example.
One of my reasons for blocking such words wasn't to be super-sensitive... it was basically because I was tired of people crying to me all the time because someone dropped a word that offended them.
Most of the rules on here are made to prevent things that annoy me.

I honestly do not expect anyone to accept this apology but I am still sending it out.
Deev, my IP is still banned. Will you be undoing that as well?
I know I wasnt apart of what happened, but I did read all of it.
I know I am not innocent when it comes to flaming everyone. But forgiviness can only go so far. Some of the things that he said to senior members on Cb7tuner.com...wow, even blew my mind.

Basically, anything that can be used as a racial or homophobic slur. Some have been overlooked, largely because they're not commonly used... I add to it if I see something being abused. I haven't had to in a while.
PM being sent now.

I have never flamed anyone on this site, but what I read from that one thread he did(well 2nd one). The 13+ names he made, sorry man but you crossed the line to where i cant forget what you did. It was over the line and even though I'm not on CD5tuner, I'm sure its a tight family over there too like here. What you did is not something anyone I consider Family to do. There is other sites for people who like to do what you do to go to. I think you should just go there instead.
