What do you mean "don't put them in your stock lights." Elaborate, dude. Where else do they go?

Please use a relay harness. Do this to draw power from your battery. HID ballasts draw more power than stock wiring delivers. Because of this, direct connection to your battery is ideal. It will also safeguard electrical issues, like shorting.

Not inside stock headlights = inside projectors.

when putting HID bulbs into the stock housing (just dropping them in) you will not have them installed correctly. They will blind everyone in front of you and you will get pulled over and ticketed.

You have to do what is called a retrofit. This is where you take the projector (HID housing) and cut your headlight housing so it will fit in. This way the projector cuts the beam off just right and actually enhances the light output as well.

If you are using them as high beams then you do not need to do that as you turn high beams off when cars are coming.

There are some HID kits that are designed to be drop in kits, they are not too cheap but are actually very well priced, these are true drop in kits with no cutting required but I only know of one company that does this, all the rest are bulbs and ballasts only and you MUST retrofit.

The original post was on cb7tuner.com but here is the thread, contact the OP and see if they have some for cd5's
