Type S Tranny

Hi guys. I've been reading that the ATTS on type s is very difficult to install on a cb. So what would it take to install it? And what would be a better tranny to get for the type s?

on the tip tronic, its just all the wiring thats gets all weird and difficult. Why not spring for just a normal h22 tranny or run the h23. Obviously ur wanting to stay auto?

tiptronic (the tranny you are asking about) is still an auto, but you can also shift with it, it got the plus and minus deal, that way too many cars have now, you should go with h22 or h23 tranny if you want it manual

the T2W4 might work. Its the Euro-R tranny

i figuerd since u were goin tiptronic u wanted to stay auto but if thats the case hell throw an h23 tranny in and u wont need another tranny for the rest of ur cb7 life....unless u blow it up or kill the synchros in it.....lol

No one has ever installed atts into a cb that i know of. Also Atts is run by an obd II computer and u would have to convert the car to obd II. Also the axles would be another issue. Another issue is that ATTS cant handle big power, so if big heavy mods are done like turbo or a full N/A build it will go crazy. Its not worth it, it would be better to get the jdm tranny with lsd IMO

Buy an M2b4. The ATTS trans is a hassle and is useless once you start upping the hp. Plus its just dead weight on a trans. M2b4 is an LSD trans and works wonders.

LSD = Limited Slip Differential. Google it.
