Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

speedometer quit working???

    speedometer quit working???

    i recently took out a faze tach out of my car and since then my speedometer has been going crazy. Sometimes it will work and other times it will just sit a zero. I also noticed that when my speedometer is not working, my mileage and odometer don't neither. So would it be related with the cluster or my speed sensor?

    90% of the time it is the VSS. You can pick one at the junkyard cheap.

      ok thanks... but may i ask what is a vss and where is it located on my car, i would ask my dad which is a mechanic but i do all the work on my car haha.

        i thought it was my vss put in a new one and it was the speedometer ...so i say check both just get a cluster from the junkyard shouldn't be more then 20 bucks...but make sure it's the same type speedometer thats in your cluster

            VSS = Vehicle Speed Sensor. It is located on top of your transmission housing.
            99% of the time VSS is the cause of your speedometer not working. When the speedometer is not functioning, the odometer will not function either. Neither will VTEC is you have a motor swap.

              Thats what I would do. Although mine did the same thing once and when I got it up around 75 mph it came back to life and has been fine ever since.

                I had the same problem and it was my speedo. I swaped in a Acura CL Cluster and has worked perfectly since

                  Oh ok so the vss is what i was looking at... thanks for letting me know. No my car still has the stock f22a1 in it but im looking to upgrade to the f22b eventually.
