Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    2.5 TL rear sway bar

    I was at a Junk yard the other day and noticed a 2.5 TL there with a sway bar that looks similar to the one on our CB's. They are having a 1/2 price day soon.
    I am wondering has anyone used this rear bar? Is it really worth it too do the conversion. Its the same size as the Vigor bar which I believe is about 15 MM. If anyone has any info that would be greatly appreciated.

    i kno they will fit on the 5th gen but not too sure about the 4th gen.. most 4th and 5th gen parts are interchangeable but remember, the 5th gen is more narrower than the 4th gen

      how much is it? if its pretty cheap buy it, try it, and if it doesnt fit sell it on ebay

        the vigor ones are 16mm, and they help a lot even over the 14mm EX sway bars.

          Thanks for the answers gentleman. Well, if I can get a good enough deal on the part then I will pick it up and let you all know.
          BTW, how much narrower is the CD over the CB body?

            yea it will fit with some modifications
            miss my turbo cb7
            moved onto volvos. dont know how that happened, just did

                Pull it, take it to a junkyard CB, and see what needs to be done

                  well since the bar is bigger than the cbs, you need to make it fit into the bushing.

                        The bar itself looks like its the same size diameter as a Vigor bar. I am bringing this up due to the fact that a DC/EG chassis parts are interchangeable. There are some parts that wont fit. When you go to a EK chassis very few parts will interchange. I am talking about chassis/suspension parts that is.

                          The TL is what took the place of the Vigor. Doesn't mean anything is interchangeable though. It also doesn't mean that the rear sway bar is larger... until someone measures it, that is.

                            Right, right. That's the point I am trying to make. Since, the TL takes over Vigor body. I think I will go and see how well it fits. It wont be too much trouble to go and see.
