ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

its possible but its more work than an h22 from what i have heard. I was going to do it and thought it was easy, even got the decal put on the car cause i was sure that i was going to put it in till i heard that it was going to cost me $800 to swap it. waiting for the h22

i dont see how it would be harder than an H22.

its very possible, but why do you want to do it. i would rather swap in an F22A6 to tell you the truth.

It's about the same as an H22. acclude91 went into detail about it, if you search through his posts.

The F22B1 (the 94-97 EX motor) is a turd, though. 5hp more than the F22A6, and far less potential. Don't get sucked in by the VTEC gimmick (on a SOHC, it IS a gimmick in terms of performance!). The F22A is a far better engine.

yup the F22B1 came standard in my 97 CL and i was not impressed at all. i was far more impressed when i drove CB Accord EX's.

The F22B1 is a great motor for what it was intended... a mid-powered economy motor. It is not in any way a performance motor (so many people see VTEC and say "that's an upgrade!")

The F22A is not a performance motor either, but it has more potential. The port design is superior, the cost is less because it's older (and most parts are identical between all F22A motors... meaning they're very common), and well... we already have it!

                ok

Ok so lets say taking out my lx motor and throwing in a 91-93 ex motor...it would be a straight drop in rite....what will the issues i'll have to take care of????

In the US pre-7th gen the accord was made to be a family/economy car. And anything thats Vtec w/ a SOHC is only made for fuel economy, not performance.

And i don't see how putting in an F22B could be any harder then H22A. They are in many ways the same motor. Sure internals are fully different but where everything is put, how the motor sits, the mounts, etc are almost identical to the F22B. Thats why with 5th gen accords the swap is so popular b/c its such an easy motor to basically just drop in

When I put a f22b1 in a cb9 I had to cut the ears off of the cb motor mount a weld them closer to fit the mount on the motor. That wagon ran a 16.1 with a h23 tranny which isn't to bad for a wagon and a stock motor.

To the OP, alot of people have that motor, search, some people like it some dont.

I rather jus stick with a A6, then u dont gotta cut and weld anything like ^^^ guy

If you are looking for cheaper swaps, F22B DOHC and F20A DOHC motors are great options. With matching transmissions, these engines are really fun.

Impress a lot of people and do a K series swap, from an RSX.
I would LOVE to see that done by someone
