ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The SOHC F20A is just a 2.0L F22A Not bad, but not really an "upgrade".

A K swap would cost a ton of money. It'll be easier once Hasport completes their mount kit... but it'll still be quite expensive. The H22A provides plenty of power, at a price that makes it a much more appealing option to any K series. The K series aftermarket, compared to the soon-to-be declining H/F series aftermarket, is the only thing that will justify such a swap (other than originality)

There is a guide for F22B swap, here it is:

It is a great engine for the Accord. jdmtigerjapanese.com sells them for $550.00 plus shipping is like 100. I have purchased stuff from them before and was satisfied with the quality and customer service.

You could also get an H22 if you have a few extra hundred bucks. It is really not hard at all to swap it.
Either way you go, I suggest getting either an H23 or an H22 transmission. They have more performance oriented gearing than your F22 tranny. It does make a big difference!
I would go with an F22B and an H23 trans if you are on a budget, or cammed F22B with H22 trans if you have a couple grand to spend.

The F22B1 (the 94-97 EX motor) is a turd, though. 5hp more than the F22A6, and far less potential. Don't get sucked in by the VTEC gimmick (on a SOHC, it IS a gimmick in terms of performance!). The F22A is a far better engine.

My motor is I think on it's last leg...trying to make it last though.
