ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    166K miles on seafoam

is it bad to seafoam my engine even if it has 166k miles?

    #2
Through the throttle body and in the gas tank no issues

    *EDIT*
their site says to add about 5-8oz (1/3 pint) to the oil...I'm not fan of their next recommendation (spirited driving and high revving)...but 2 to max 3k and you should be ok...have to change oil RIGHT after...if it were me I'd change it twice...cheapo filter and oil first...then good stuff second.
Either way, I'm not fan of adding stuff to oil other than oil though.

166k is YOUNG for accords though

Clean that TB every 15k...it gets dirty quick...search for oil catch can on the forums and you can see one reason why.

I seafoamed an older integra. It had no problems what so ever. Try it and see how good the stuff is.

        I read this some where
The rule of seaform in Engine Oil is that you pour like 1/4 (i think) of the bottle, drive like you normally do and must Change the oil before 100 miles

that what i did and nothing wrong with my car. The oil was BLACK BLACK

it not going to damage the engine they even said that in the back or something. it an oil base product or something

yeah that's the rule...I think that amounts to like 5-8 ounces 1/4-1/2 of the bottle that is.
A lot of guys have done this and none have had issues.

but 166k...seriously...YOUNG for a cb HA HA

What people also say is be sure to do a full oil change afterwards, filter and all.

I just did Seafoam on my CB. Oh, it drives so much better now. Smoother idle, accelerates better too. Its worth the investment.

the dirtier the engine the more improvement it will make.

the cleaner the engine the less improvement it will make.

my engine is CLEAN...little improvement. (I do top engine cleans routinly)

my tb gets dirty around every 15k at the least...usually more (until I install catch can) but again, I clean that all regularly.

last t-belt I did i inspected everything...all clean...not polished aluminum clean but nothing major.

Still...top engine cleaners and the such are great preventative maintenance items.
