ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    h22a cams

what is the best cams to get without having to change anything???

crower stage 1 cams, jdm type-s cams. Those are the ones that i know of which don't need upgraded valvetrain. Or no tuning required although it would be best to get them tuned to get the most out of them

Any "stage 1" cam from most manufacturers will work. They usually give 12-15hp by the manufacturer's specs... about 5-7 short of the Stage 2 or 3 (depending on the manufacturer).

x2 what? I didn't say get a stage 2. I said the difference is 5-7hp, and stage 2 requires a valvetrain upgrade. I was saying quite the opposite.

then you'd might as well just pull the engine and do a straight up build.

custom billet cams all the way!

Well, Stage 1 cams are a good way to bump a little more power out of the engine. If they aren't used for too long, they can be resold for around 2/3 the cost at least, I'm sure. That means a $500 set of cams can be sold for like $350. Not bad if a full build is in the future.

if a full build is in the future, why even bother with stage 1. go stage 2 for a few extra pennies. the money that you would lose saling them can be spent on the rest of the valvetrain. so just do a lil more saving and do the whole valvetrain at once. especially if a shop does the install. pay them once, not twice.
