ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Hello! CB7 Injen "no ABS"

Hello to everyone in this forum, I have been a member of this community since October but have not been able to post until today; Thanks to Deevergote . this will be my first thread/post so please hang with me. so at the moment I am in debate in choosing between two intakes Aem or Injen. From what I have read the Injen intakes seem to be more well developed and they come with a built in velocity stack but everywhere I see them for sell it says "No ABS". So I thought maybe the ABS fuse box or the ABS fluid resovoir got in the way so i searched the forum to see if anyone in this forum was sporting it along with ABS and to my surprise I did
sorry for using you image Drummersteve. So what do you guys think the deal is with the "no ABS"? Or do you guys think AEM will be a bette bet, But The Weapon-R Secret Intake seem pretty tempting also

Weapon-R Secret Weapon Air Intake Systems
How it works cut away illustration:
    (1) High Density Foam Filter
    (2) Turbo Velocity Stack
    (3) Primary Airflow
    (4) Secondary Airflow
    (5) Air Funsion
    (6) Hook Up for Optional Ram Air Hose
Thank you in advance, all replies appreciated.

from my personal experience I have not had an issue with putting an 'non-abs equipped' intake on my abs equipped car. Works fine for me.

the velocity stack is built in, to where, the filter? you will find most filters have the inside edge rounded...I guess its a velocity stack of sorts.

personally, I would go with whatever is cheaper. To be honest they are all the same if you have a decent filter on the end

          i like the injen

I bought the car with this already installed. it fits real tight and looks ok. The performance difference is awesome. I can tell the difference, I put the stock back one on just to see and I can tell, but who knows most people will vouch just cause it sounds rougher doesnt mean it is!

          Good luck my friend!

              no troubles at all

well thank you for the compliments, and yes the carpet is def a bonus but now that I cleaned it I am more aware of dirt, damnit, esp living up near Seattle.

As far as putting it back in, no issues whatsoever. it was a tight fit as you can see in the pic, but with a small amount of patience it was ok.

              Thanks again!

by any chance does anyone know if the AEM V2 intake for the cd5 will be able to fit in the CB7 without much modification to the engine bay? that would be awesome.
