which would provide more performance? cause i have a canister style and the car is relatively quick to be near stock but ive been looking at an obx muffler and a resonator. i would like the car to look and sound more stock but i dont want to loose my performance to do so. the muffler is a dual tip obx and the resonator is 2.25" in/out. i already have a 2.25" mandrel bent catback with 1 22" resontator, the car is quiet at idle but cruising it is some what loud.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

canister style vs high flow normal muffler

If the muffler is a straight through design, there will be little to no difference. Depending on quality, it might even be better. I don't believe the OBX muffler you have pictured has a chambered design, so it should work just fine. It might not be THAT much quieter, though... Most of the cheaper exhausts aren't very quiet.

ok it works like this the higher flow you get the more horsepower you make *however the power is at a much higher rpm it changes the torque curve good for like 4th and 5th gear interstate runs at highly illegal speeds which i do not suggest doing but for example... on a drag race or anytime when you will be using more than just the highest rpms in the rev range a high flow muffler will be more effective because it keeps the power in a more usable area of the powerband also the right muffler will be somewhere in between the highest flow and the best amount of backpressure... i ran my car with a 2.25" catback and a straight through canister muffler on an 1/8 mile and got somewhere around high 14s when i changed the muffler to a performance muffler like the one you are debating i got a 12.9... however take into account that it was a warmer track with better grip but also this is a 140 hp honda sedan we're talking about too... traction won't make that much of a difference horsepower and torque make more of a difference as does the powerband... i suggest unless you are going to run very high rpms all the time get the muffler that leaves some backpressure in the exhaust. you could if you like the straight through can's look put it after the regular muffler it won't really affect performance after the other muffler slowed the exhaust down but it would sound sweet if it is a packed one like they usually are... deeper tone in the exhaustback to do it again... no flipping of accords this time!!!
Hit me up with techy questions if i don't have an answer i can get an answer...
