ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    do a tune up

Axle or both need to be replaced ( i can do it just need some one to look over before i spend money i dont have)

ask mike (deev) to stop by, but you need an axle. if you change the boot, a cupple days down the road it will start clicking

I attached the motor mount in rear....but still cant get the rear tran mount stay to attached

thats odd. what do you mean it wont stay attached?

Car feels like it has no power.

a full tune up, if your running auto, you need to change the oil every 15k. new motor oil. use some lucas to clean the internals of the motor. also new fuel filter. and use some injector cleaner.

Smoke coming up from timing belt along with noise

you have to take it apart before you blow the motor! the timing belt is rubbing on something.

Wanna join the 17 club? lol Wow that is alot of stuff messed up though. When that noise happens does it kinda screech real loud, then dies back down? And yea for your rich and missing problem, just do the usual tune up, if you havent already clean out your egr valve, IACV, check spark plugs, wires, ect...

You have too many problems to try and diagnose it yourself, when you clearly do not know enough. It's cheaper for you and more time efficient (if you really do have a job you can't make it to), to take it into a good shop and have them diagnose all the problems for you, but not fix them. Then, you verify their diagnoses (if you know how, or get a friend to that you trust), before you go spend the money to fix things. I'm assuming since you're on budget, prioritize what needs fixing first based on what's critical to saving the motor, then safety.

Mow lawns or something, do work for your grandma, etc to pay for the shop diagnosis.

Once you get your car running alright, use it to get a job and make money. If you don't, then sell your car because you obviously don't need it and it will just be a money pit for you in the end until you do need one.

Before you spend money on any tune-up (if you go this route), like someone else here told you. You have a potential dead cylinder or cylinders. No tune-up will fix this and be a waste of money!

Get rubber-gripped pliers. Start and idle your engine. Pull one spark plug boot from the valve cover end at a time left-to-right and if one of the cylinders does nothing to the rhythym of the engine when you remove the spark plug boot, it's dead. As you remove each boot, the engine should stumble/almost stall.

Report back ASAP, if you really want help. Otherwise, take my advice on the previous post.

hmm i did that swap and i dont have any problems, well until she runs. but when i swapped the head and intake mani, the only thing i had was a vacuum leak.

This swap should have no problems if done correctly. You would just need to get a PT6 ECU for the F22a6 obviously, as the original PT3 (f22a1) ECU will not work appropriately. Get the IABs/secondary runners working in one way or another, don't leave the lines open because of vacuum leak.

Anyhow, since you introduced a new motor it means new problems. This motor may have a dead cylinder as described for your "misfiring" statement in your first post.

You still have not posted up results regarding the pulling spark plug wire test for dead cylinders and since you don't have a job supposedly, you're wasting time posting on your thread instead. Why? Go do it and report back like I said!

Also, you should have posted up the history of your swapping a F22a1 to F22a6 in your FIRST post, also with the information that you did a tune-up already at time of the swap and included what parts you replaced!

You're wasting your own time and others by doing things half-assed.

Well look at it this way, even with all your problems, your fixing them now. You wont have to worry about it happening again if youve done it the right way. C'mon cut these cars some slack thier like 15 - 18 year old cars, of course they will crap up at times But yea, when you start the car and hear that loud screech then it dies down again, thats a sign of a bad cylinder head...
