Ok, One Of My Friends Sold Me A Glasspack, I Didnt Want It. He Already Cut Off The Cat Because He Was Going To Put It On And He Did So Without My Permission. So Anyways I Take A Saw Zaw And Cut It Off And Throw It At Him. Anyways I Put My Cat Somewhere Safe And It Was Right In The Middle Of The School Ag Shop. Anyways A Couple Of My Friends Asked If They Could Have It. Me Knowing That It Brings Money, I Said No! Anyways I Set It Down And Pull My Car Back Up To The School Parking Space. And One Of My Classmates Stole It! Anyways I Decided To Get Some Exhaust Piping From Advance Auto Parts And Use That As An Extender Because I Have No Cat Anymore. Anyways, I Am Running Off Of An Import Muffler And No Cat. Guess You Could Call It Truly Straight Piped. Anyways Will This Cause My Car To Burn Richer?? Because I Noticed My Gas Sucks But That Might Be Because The Way I Drive. Anyways As I Said, Is There Really Anything To Worry About???

now back to the topic. The only thing that you have to worry about is what F20A CB7 said abut the emission test. Also, because its too dam loud police might pull you over...and you already know the rest. It all depends on how you drive.
About engine wise no, it does not affect the engine at all.
I had a straight pipe with an empty cat in my car for more than a year and I was never pull over by any cop due to my exhaust.

yeah except that you will stop at gas stations twice as much unless you get mil eliminators that tell the computer that you are running a cat when your not... straight pipes will also push piston rings and oil seals out of their seats on 4 cylinder cars, at least put some kind of muffler on it even a little back pressure will be better than none whatsoever...back to do it again... no flipping of accords this time!!!

You can burn a valve on a new car too, backpressure is backpressure. No you will not burn a valve without a cat, but if you run open header or no cat/no muffler you will bend a valve.

1. Straight pipe is useful in boosted applications.
2. Its not legal.
3. It does not cause a loss in fuel consumption.
4. Our cars still can burn exhaust valves
5. A muffler is not going to do much
6. Honda stock cats are pretty damn free flowing from the factory

you will emmit 5 times the emissions with out the cat. With the cat you make 5 times less emissions and only lose 1 hp. Ok now under stand this There was a dyno of a supra with over 600 HP and it only lost 1 HP from the cat so get a cat. Simple as that. Geta cat. Oh and really it would be cooler to have a cat and no muffler than not cat and a muffler.Comment

i dont knwo whats with these anyone taking the cat off. i can see you wanting more HP. but keeping that cat on is one way to keep the cops off your tail. you have a car sounding like crap and a ricer looking muffler, cop will see and hear that and pull you. regardless of if your moms a cop or not. you get that one rookie cop who doesnt know you or your mom and theres your ticket.
plus why would you want a straight pipe anyway? do you really want to sound like all those ricers out there? are you going to be boosting your car any time soon(like within the next year)? that backpressure is what creates your TQ. you take that away youll have nothing. have too big of an exhasut on our little four bangers and you'll loose HP and TQ.
