ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Is this F22B1 Worth It?

I'm not sure what I could use from my 92 lx to make this work, but for 150.00 it's almost worth it for educational purposes. Could I use my 92 lx tranny and throttle body? What else would I need?

yes on the transmission, you will need a header and dizzy, but since it comes with the ecu i would do it.

Id say its well worth it, but you wouldnt need a dizzy cause it says it comes with it and its shown in the pics. For $150 and only 89k miles, do it

not a bad swap i have it in my 92 sedan if the dizzy and ecu are included then i woud go for it but you will need a dif. header like said above and you will have to get a piece of pipe made up there will be a gap in between the header and the cat

Thanks for the info. I think I'm gonna pick this up. I need a little practice before I get my H22.

For something to learn on, it's a great find. The motor itself is absolute garbage, however. The F22A is a MUCH better engine!

b1s are that bad, but dont expect it to be a big improvment over your f22ax. They respond well to boost most of the time though, ive seen several hit 300+ on stock internals and a good tune.

if your f22a is high in mileage with tons of leaks, then do it. But if yours is pristine, I'd save the money. Your throttle body wont work, but you can use an h series TB.

Boost is the only good option for a B1.

For $150, it's not a bad learning motor though. You could always trade it to some idiot for a good F22A down the road, if you don't get the H22 soon Or just build it and boost it... I can respect a turbo F22B1.
