ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Doesn't like warm starts?

So it's not a major problem, but it's a bit embarrassing sometimes.

My car always starts fine when it's cold, but it seems if I shut it off for 5 minutes to go in somewhere and then come back to try and start it, it doesn't. I can just hear the starter going and don't hear any signs of combustion.

Eventually it will start after a minute or two, and there doesn't appear to be any excess gas coming out of the exhaust, which makes me think that the engine wasn't getting any fuel when it was being started.

I found that the easiest way to ensure that it starts is to pump the gas a little bit.

Anyone encountered this before? Does something need to be cleaned or what (that's my guess)?

Try cleaning your injectors. Replace your fuel filter.

Does the fuel pump work during warm weather?

Main relay is more of a hot weather problem.

could be a regulator problem Find someone with a fuel pressure gauge and hook it up to the rail start the car and turn it off see if the rail pressure bleeds down if it does you could have a leaking injector or a bad regulator that isnt holding pressure

I'm thinking main relay, but you're right, it's usually a warm weather sort of problem

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

Thanks for all the quick responses!

I think that I'll try getting the fuel filter replaced first and see how it goes from there. (because it seems like the most inexpensive fix)

The problem doesn't seem to have anything to do with the weather since it does it when it does it in the summer and in the winter. It's been doing this for the past few months, it might only do it once every two weeks, but it's a pain.

Sounds also like the Main Relay symptom...
I had a problem with it, no matter what the weather.
But then again my CB7 is posessed
