ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Use Lucas or Redline fuel system cleaner, they are proven much better than the other crap brands. I personally run Lucas "upper cylinder lubricant" all the time......I suggest you buy this and run about a triple dosage for 2-3 tanks then level off to normal usage for the next 5000 miles. And definitely change the fuel filter, as said before, it could and usually is the most likely to cause low power. Get a good fuel filter such as Purolator PureOne, don't get FRAM and don't get K&N (the 2 extremes).

i dont really think using that much fuel cleaner crap is food for your fuel system. I think that is wayy overkill and would do more harm than good.

yeah the OEM fuel filter is made by BOSCH, part#71504. I had a tremendous difficulty in even fitting the OEM fuel filter that i got at a Honda dealer for some reason so look into this thread for further explanation

No, it's not good to run it like that all the time, but a few large doses to clean everything out definitely won't hurt anything.

Yes OEM is definitely good, Purolator (PureOne) is just as good though......I've seen very good reports on the PureOne line of filters.

Lucas calls their product "Upper Cylinder Lubricant" but it actually is more like fuel system cleaner with slight lubricity additives to oil the top of the piston/walls/valves.

I know that regularly running it in normal doses over 10,000 miles has tremendously changed the way my valves and pistons look....via a boroscope!

                code 43

I have exactly the same problem with my 93 SE auto. The only one I have not try is Sea-foam since my is almost 197K. Here is what the other thread I am talking about.
                http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...highlight=tume.
One more thing the CEL is not lit up in the dash no more. However, the code is still there when I did the paper clip check. Anyone is welcome to chime in.
