ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

But what will take getting used to is before the shaking was associated with bad mounts, in this case the mount is good. Unless, does it matter which position the dogbone faces? I know the big part is on top obviously, but should it face left or right?

It isn't going to soften. That is why I recommend the softer poly. Most of the advantages of the hard stuff (about 80%) without nearly as much vibration.

I have 94a mounts, I believe... uslspct did them for me. I have all 4 mounts filled, so I get a good deal of vibration at idle. It's only noticeable at idle though... Driving, it's fine.

I believe automatics tend to vibrate more than manuals... just from my own experience.

yeah vibrations go away once I start driving or if i shift into neutral. But i really don't want to do that all the time, it gets annoying.

With a manual H22 I had a solid front (soft) and a solid rear mount (EXTREMEMLY hard), and it vibrated like it was going to come apart. I took the rear mount out and still have the soft front insert in. It vibrates a little, but it is about 90% less than with the solid rear, and I don't really notice many tradeoffs.

And on an auto F22 that is almost stock, you don't really have enough torque to justify anything other than the soft stuff.

Unless you want to drive a vibrator.

It also makes the car noisier.

And yes, auto's vibrate more due to the fact they have a constant load on the engine.

Strange, I run a solid rose joint front mount (no rubber bushes), and havn't noticed any harshness at all??

yeah his mounts are well built, just wish i woulda gotten that 80 formula instead of the 94A, but its cool, solved more problems then it caused so i can't complain.

do you have an auto or manual? some of the more experienced guys on here have said it's less harsh than the auto's b/c of not having a constant load constantly on it. it's just harsh when i'm idling from like 750-1000rpm, after that its perfect.

Mines Manual. Yea that makes sense, comparing it to an auto

It depends what you want. The stiffer the polyurethane, the more vibration you'll get... but the benefit is minimal torque transfer lost to engine flex.

I'd go with the stiffer, and I did, because the whole point of it is to get as much from it as possible!

I would do 80 simply because the added durability is nice, without having to put up with the vibes 24/7.

Besides, I can only think of a few cars on this site that would maybe overpower 80.
