ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

First the specifications for your engine:

        F20A SOHC
This engine series was used in the Honda Accords in Japan and Europe. The DOHC F20A was also derived from this engine (see below).

        Specifications

        Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 88.0 mm
        Displacement: 1997 cc
        Valve Configuration: SOHC, 16 valves
        Max output : F20A2 and F20A4 136 PS @ 5400 rpm (PGM-Fi), 110 PS @ 6000 rpm (PGM-carb)
        Max output : F20A7 147 PS @ 5600 rpm (PGM-Fi)
        Max torque : F20A2 and F20A4 18.5 kg m @ 4300 rpm (PGM-Fi), 16.1 kg m @ 3800 rpm (PGM-carb)
        Max torque : F20A7 19.3 kg m @ 4400 rpm (PGM-Fi)
        Fuel consumption (Japan Combined Cycle) : 9.6 km/l (PGM-Fi), 9.8 km/l (PGM-carb)
This engine also spawned many variants, according to market, but the specs remain largely similar

        F20A DOHC
This engine was used in the 1990-1993 Honda Accord 2.0Si in Japan.

        Specifications

        Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 88.0 mm
        Displacement: 1997 cc
        Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves
        Compression ratio: 9.5:1
        Max power: 150 hp (112 kW) @ 6100 rpm
        Max torque: 137 ft·lbf (186 Nm) @ 5000 rpm

I too have a lot of questions, since I just joined the F20A bandwagon. The first thing I realized was that my stock F22A1 (rotting in some garage) is much quicker at accelerating than this one, although it's still fairly new to me (as my car is still at the body shop).

On a lighter side, can I stick a 2.0 Si emblem (from a Civic) to my cb, since they're the same specs anyway?

No, don't put the 2.0 Si badge on... it'll blow up your motor!

Just kidding. Do whatever you want. It's a badge. At least it'll be accurate!

The F20A has less displacement, so the low-end torque isn't there like it is with the F22A. The F20A should be a better performer than the F22A in the higher RPM range.

Ok which F20A do u have?

The F20A si (dohc) is much like the f22b/h23.

Now for the SOHC which i can relate to, cuz i have it, is very similair to the F22A motor.

U can change out yout INTAKE MANIFOLD for the H23, u will have more air flow by doin this.

U can get a cam, and jus about anything else u can put on a F22A u can put on the F20A sohc.

The Heads are the same, jus the bottom end is smaller, so u will have quicker/higher revvs

Now the F20A Si, is 10 hp and 10ft tq LEss than the JDM f22b.

I have 2.25 from cat back, 11.5 flywheel, and a stage 1 clutch and i couldnt b happier with my MOtor. TWIN cam f20a costs jus as much as a SOHC

my F20A DOHC & tranny combo is much faster than my F22A1 ever was.

yeah if you have the economical SOHC thats another story.

So just to clear things up, SOHC is not Si, only the DOHC? I've definitely got the SOHC, do you have a link of where I can buy the intake manifold upgrade?

Theres nothing ECO friendly about the F20A sohc motor. I waste jus as much gas as a F22.

SOHC can be a pretty mean setup. Considering you have less parts moving, it might even be more reliable if you make it into a high rpm or a turbo setup.

of course some good head work should be considered.

F20ACB7= PS, How can i know how much HP i have from my F20A, its from JAPAN, but is it equal to the dx, lx, or ex motors?

I thought that the F20A from Japan was smiliar to the F20A2,4 in Europe.
That means that you have 136 HP, just like the EX engine.

                              ACCORDIN TO LO-SPECIALS...

                              does this sound accurate?
