ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Tume up aftermath.

I've just replaced my cap and rotor, fuel filter. Test drive and it's bogging (around 1500) and almost die. And it's throwing code 43 now. Any idea to fix it? My oxyen sensor I just replace it a month ago? Thanks

^^^ Check and make sure you correctly swaped spark plug wires from the old cap to the new one. Then try resetting your ecu. If the code comes back after you have reset it check your fuel system. Fuel pump, injectors and pressure regulator.

          spark plug wire

Can some one post your spark plugs wire from the dizzy to the sparkplug holes? So I can compare with mine to make sure they are the right orientation. I search but I did not find any pic. One more thing it's idled fine. However when I drive it it's just bogging down and almost die. Thanks

The code is for fuel supply system. My guess is you kinked a line or didn't remove one of the little plastic caps on the new fuel filter.

I did took 2 of those little caps out when I replaced them. I can hear the fuel pump whirl when I put my key in the ignition ( before start). And it's idled fine. Just bogging down when I drive it. I also checked the timing, it's right on the mark. Spark plug wires orientation are correct (thanks for the pics). Any one else?

                  Did you reset your ECU?

Pull the backup fuse or disconnect the battery (-) terminal for 30 seconds to reset the ecu. Post what code comes back up after you reset the ECU if it does.

The filter is OEM filter, so does the washers. I did not see any leak at all. Could it be the oxygen sensor (code 43)? Remember, I just replaced it with the OEM oxygen sensor months ago.

So I bite the bullet and did the Seafoam. And it's still surging and bogging. When I start the car, it's start fine. But after the fan kick in. And it's start surging( like the engine only operate only 3 cylinder). And when I tried to drive, it's still bogging. Come back and check the code now it's showed code 17 which is the vss. My odometer is still working fine. Is it my vss caused this problem? Anyone have any idea?
