ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Header

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-93...QQcmdZViewItem

would this be a decent upgrade...

ive seen ceramic...stainless steel...and other types/compositions.. what would be the prefered...

ceramic or stainless is basically what appeals to you. but i wouldn't buy that header. like most of the people on here will tell you cheap parts equal cheap results. just save you money for a good quality header. megan racing makes a relatively inexpensive header you can get for about 200 bucks shipped and the quality is pretty good in comparison to the cost.

I just hope it fits like a glove. Ebay header are known to fitment issues. Either get OBX or Megan Racing.

The F22A4 header (90-91 EX) is the best stock piece you can get, and it's just about as good as a cheap Ebay header (with much better fitment). It'll add about 5hp to an F22A1 (LX/DX). I also agree with the Megan Racing header. For the price, there is nothing better. DC Sports is only worth the money for the CARB sticker, and I believe OBX makes CARB approved headers now for far less... both give moderate gains. DC is probably the best, but honestly, not worth the cost.

When the Bisimoto header is finally realeased, THAT will be well worth the price! It won't be cheap, but it's a properly engineered piece, not just pipes slapped together. The Bisimoto header will run about $600-$700, and I would imagine that it would give 15hp or more. That 15hp is my own estimate, and nothing official... but 15-18hp is what you see with the really good headers on an H22.

As for composition... ceramic keeps heat levels down, which is good. Keeping heat out of the engine bay is good for the other stuff in there, and keeping heat IN the exhaust system is good to promote flow velocity. The ceramic headers are made of mild steel, with a ceramic coating. In time, the coating will wear off and the mild steel will rust.
Stainless steel headers are more durable, but they don't retain the heat quite as well. The Bisimoto headers are stainless, with the option of a ceramic coating.

Yeah, if the AC line is close... bend it out of the way!

I need to get AC back in my car. My shop charged me $1750 for my swap labor, and they were too stupid to make the AC work! I wish this site was around back then!
