ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    strut tower bars...and the bolts

When you install a strut tower bar...you have a thick piece of metal that bolts to the tower bolts...how do you accommodate for the short strut bolts when installing said piece? There aren't much extra threads on mine afterall...not enough to put another piece of metal between them and the nut.

Aftermarket struts? Or are they seated properly? I've also never seen one so short that it wouldn't hold. I have a strut bar and TWO nuts on each of my konis.

YES I KNOW...dirty dirty engine bay...I live in the country

See...there isn't any room to put anything inbetween the frame and the nuts...I assume aftermarket ones might...but these don't

I had a brainfart when I said the two nut thing... that was on the strut itself

But yeah, that's normal. You don't usually replace the hat anyway, so 99% of the people on here are running that with a strut bar. The strut bar metal isn't all that thick, so you'd probably lose like 3 threads... still enough to be tight on there.

Just tight it down good and you're set.

yeah as long as there are some threads sticking out from the nut it should be cool...I'll still use some lock tight...cause...I'm paranoid like that.

The neuspeed bar is somewhat a bit thicker than that. I just tighten it down good.

yeah i originally had a strut bar that covered the ends of the dampening adjustment on my AGX's and to make it clear, i had to put 3 washers underneath the strutbar on top of the shock threads. I was still able to screw the nuts (no pun intended) down enough to mount the bar.
