ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

depends, whats your setup? If you're running stock I would suggest a 50 shot, make sure you upgrade your fuel pump, retard the timing and get colder plugs...but I dont really know much about nitrous, Im just a parrot speaking...

50-75 would be safe on a stock F22A. 100 can be done, but it'd be pushing it.

Upgrading the fuel pump isn't 100% necessary, but it would help. If for some reason your motor doesn't get enough fuel with nitrous, it's toast.

Find out what manufacturer it is, and get the installation instructions (if your friend doesn't have them, you can get them from the manufacturer's website). Follow the instructions exactly.

make sure the kit is wet if not get the fuel solenoid to make it wet i have a kit i got for free but it was dry i installed it dynoed it fuel system couldnt support the 50 shot so i got a fuel pump and plugs dyno same problem so now i have to get the fuel solenoid it cost me like 250 to figure it out between dyno time and pump

Actually, for the small-shot kits, they're better being dry. Wet kits tend to produce an uneven mixture, since the fuel is heavy. Small shot, dry is better. Larger shot, wet is safer... though you can damage cylinders 3 and 4, while putting too much into 1 and 2.

For anything larger than 75, I'd say go with a direct port system. Some people (like richie*nitrous, I think) are doing well with the single fogger systems... but it's a risk. If you use it a lot, you can do damage.

The best thing is to TOTALLY understand what you're installing, how your engine handles it, and how to be safest with it. Do this BEFORE you spend any money. It will save a lot of time, trouble, and perhaps money.

                ....

woa woa... 75 shot of nos on all stock internals... how many miles are on your motor. It could be safe if it hasnt been beaten all of its life. Take into consideration of what else needs to be done before you go putting a 75 shot of nos through a stock f22a1. Search the forum in forced induction.
                Fun with Paint... haha.

heres a question. ZEX has a kit to where you can have it installed into your intake filter(they have a filter made especially for it). would that be ok to use?

It's a dry system... no different than any other dry system. You just don't have to drill a hole in your intake or throttle body to use it.

I'm a big fan of Zex products. When I finally get a nitrous setup, I'm going with Zex.

so can i get a dry shot and run something like a 23-50hp shot and be ok?(with all the needed stuff like the step 2 colder plugs)

A 50 shot dry kit should be perfectly safe for a healthy motor. I would even run that on a JDM H22. Install it correctly, and don't abuse the motor... and it'll be fine. A 75 shot would probably be alright for a healthy motor as well... but that's about it. It's pushing the limits. People HAVE done a 100 shot, but I wouldn't risk that. Once you get above a 75, you have to start thinking about building, like you would for turbo.
