ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

yeah deff do a aliigement... you dont necessarly need to worry about chamber wear just get the alighment cuz usually its toe that causes it. and when ppl get a chamber kit to solve the problem its when they align it that fixes the problem.

          I will ! Definetely.
But do I need anything else for the susp. to be "quickin" ? I already bought the upper arm supports for the front, the lower on the driver side, was replaced when I crashed last year. I never have touched my rear susp. By next month I will replace the back brakes and install disc system. Will that implicate any susp. problem?
By the way here is the pic I've been promessing.

              Wow...those look really new!

Make sure you can adjust camber on front and back...is that an adjustable camber upper control arm? Is the other one shown for the rear or are they both for the front?

I would recommend bushings but...to get it on the road as long as you can adjust the camber you're good to go.

If you can't then set it to stock height or close to it until you can adjust camber...I'm sure you want to lower a little but...waiting is better...longer tire life anyway

BUT if you can adjust then good to go. New bushing aren't crucial but they will help.

Thanks ! The car I took them from, If I remember right it was crashed in the back real bad. So I guess the guy was carefull enough with it's car. The interior, or what is left over of it, it was mint. I even took the engine mount support that was brand new.

Thanks, No its not adjustable, just two new upper control arm, and they ar both for the front. I have one more in my trunk. The problem is all the three I have is for the right side.

I was planning in taking my one and replace for one of the bushing of the three. I am going to do the alignment and camber maybe next week. I will definetely go low but i still with my stock wheels which remind me:
I need new wheels if enyone have a deal for 4, PM me.

I still don't know if I need to replace my right lower arm support or not. there is nothing wrong with it. I just don't want to mess with that later on again.

reach 30, CB7 member now ! yeah ! Time to get the sticker hehe !

ahhh...I remember when I hit 30...such a nice feeling...of course I still only post in the newb section mostly...but I don't HAVE to now.

Funny before I hit 30...in the back of my head I was like...I WANNA POST IN THE OTHER FORUM...now that I can...I don't...HA HA

                    back on topic

I'm so jealous of you right now
Just make sure you get an alignment...if you don't have a way to adjust camber then try to keep it around stock ride height...otherwise the camber being out will negat any benefit of lowering.

                    sooo jealous....

nice find man. they do look good. and not like those stupid egay coilovers that are all the same spring size and the sleeve is the same length. you should be good with that set up. install them and let us now how it feels. but if you can move the piston in the strut up and down, then youll need some new ones.

i found a set of sprint extreme's and kyb GR2's in a junkyard for 60 bucks, and i love them. good find man, even if it just the springs. for the shocks, i love my kyb's, they ride like stock, and my sprint's lower it by about 2.5 inches. keep going to that JY, they dont know what things are worth
