ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Stock Muffler Restrictive?

I have a 93 ex, and i like the way my dual tipped muffler looks and sounds, now i do want to get the most horsepower out of my cb, but i would like to keep my nice sounding muffer, the question is, is my stock ex muffler really restrictive and will i see any real performance getting rid of it, and getting say a greddy sp2 muffler, or apexi ws2

Full catback will not give you tons of power but it will gain a bit horsepower. If you want more power , work on the engine.

oh yea, i know that stuff, but keeping the stock muffler in the long run wont hurt, i plan on dont the h23 upper plenum, obx ceramic header, already installed aem cold air, and a delta 260 cam, just wanting to know if the stock muffler will hurt at all

You have manual right? H23 transmission will give you more kick.. I noticed this when I rode on jdm_inspired's cars. 1 with f22 manual and 1 with h23 manual , the h23 manual has more pull.

Whats that supposed to mean...N1 IS a straight through design. It does not get anymore straighter than that unless you go straight pipe. I run an N1 and I have no regrets. MxCx has heard mine in real life and I have clips. Mine does not sound ricey at all. I have no rasp. Its all in if the person know what needs to be added to make it sound good.

yeah go with a real muffler i mean you will lose fuel economy if you put an n1 muffler on but a flowtech warlock or the like will improve the fuel economy and add horsepower. and i know for a fact that n1 mufflers lose fuel economy because when i first got my cb7 i put an n1 muffler on it and it lost a ton of gas mileage and low end torque put a regular performance muffler on and it sounds and runs better plus there won't be any blown piston rings on my car anytime soon sorry to tell you but your n1 exhaust will cause excessive wear on your piston rings... you'll find out soon enough though.

if you don't want raspiness just get an intake and exhaust, i was fine up until i put my DC sports header on
