ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    question about timing blet

ok so i bought a 1990 accord last november. it came with 93k on it, and over the last year i put an additional 12k on it.

    i'm over-due on a timing belt replacement.

i just came up on $1500 and was thinking about just getting a new engine or should i just pay someone the $600 to replace my timing belt?

how can i get in touch with guys from this forum who are located relativley close to me who are willing to do this job for me and i'll give'em a few bucks

oh and my location is Reading, PA

i wouldn't pay $100 labor to get it replaced. it's an easy job. do it yourself. even a moron could replace it with a little guidance and a day off.

if people keep paying this ripoff artists $600 to replace shit, they'll keep charging $600. shit is getting ridiculous. $150 alignments, $300 exhaust jobs, fuck.

I second that. I'm in need of a timing belt replacement myself, and a second pair of hands always comes in handy. No pun intended. The job goes easier, and conversation and company can make a tedious job a lot more fun.

go to a local auto zone or go on line and order a book called haynes the one for a 1990-1993 acord . it will tell u every thing u need to know and it has pics of step by step. the book is like 16 bucks but it will save a forchun. trust me.

                              amazon.com should have it.
