ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

if u buy something cheap on ebay ur going to get a cheap product, but thats anywhere. so my advice would be not to use ebay because u can get something inexpensive rather use it like an other store and buy quality products. i dont real practice what i preach but i also dont complain about what i buy and personally i have never had any problems w/ebay. i even got my H on ebay.

I used eBay for quite a few of my H22A swap purchases, and I know I wouldn't have found some stuff as cheap as I did - now I didn't use all "eBay" parts
For example, I bought a EXEDY clutch and XTD 8lb flywheel kit for $220, P13 OBD1 ECU for $150, genuine Honda OEM timing belt kit for $180. NGK plug wires for $40 (that is what generic pepboys brand cost here). But I did buy a few "eBay" parts, such as a header and intake kit for $70 (used the OEM H22 upper half, and the eBay downpipe), then traded the intake and "shiny" upper half for a real AEM CAI (to a stupid friend), a generic muffler for like $20 (mine was falling off from rust).
Pretty much, I'll look on eBay before anywhere else. If I am buying important parts (suspension, internal engine, etc.) then I will search brand names. If I am buying stupid shit (mufflers, intakes, strut bars) then I'll just put in "accord muffler" "accord intake" etc. But I think eBay is a great resource to have, you just have to know what you are looking for, and don't get suckered into "greddy STYLE" or "oem STYLE" fake parts.-Josh

They don't sell folks stuff yeah yeah they list it whatever...either way...this is deflecting attention from the main points
Uhm...I'm not getting worked up either
Think about this...and this is my train of thought on this...and why I brought it up
why do you list your parts?
Why do you look at the parts others have on their cars?
Maybe you just wanna brag that you got some "intake"
but I would imagine you list what you've done to show how you've improved your car and what parts can be SHOWN to do some good
...and maybe you are sharing the parts so others can benefit form this knowledge.
Names are used when buying and when folks go to buy saying "EBAY INTAKE" doesn't help us much...that's all I'm saying.
It doesn't help site viewers when folks do this...I'm not wound up really...just pointing out what I've observed...and anything that helps others isn't a waste of my time...in my eyes any way
But...I didn't realize this was gonna bother so many folks...seems like everyone else is getting upset...not me though
as to user ratings...you can not rely on them...I gave a good example...
Yes I did a lot of research...guy had a good rating...seemed legit...and wasn't. SO....use at your own risk.
I'm not saying your an idiot if you use it, I'm just warning others that ebay is not the safest way to buy parts and to use extreme caution. Sorry to point out the problems with ebay.
...perhaps what is more interesting is how folks seem to be getting pretty upset and annoyed at my thread.____

i buy stuff on ebay all the time. i got my paintball gun there (at an amazing price!), my front strut tower bar, my wheels, my bumper and corner lenses, etc. if you KNOW what you are buying, then it is a good place to get stuff. you just need to realize that the cheap performance parts arent going to have the R&D time put into them that major parts manufacturers have. if it doesnt really matter about the R&D time (like bumper/corner lights or a shift knob) then you're ok. i would never buy a turbo kit or something equally critical of quality from an ebay store.

If you don't want to buy parts off ebay then don't. When it comes to quality and prices, why spend $800 on headers for a $1000 car when you can get nice ones off ebay for $80. When put into perspective, ebay is prefect for the average lower/middle class daily driver who just wants to add somthing to make their car nicer.
btw I meant header not headers, just so no one freaks out. Seems to be a problem lately.

well I must admit...I've not had good experiences with ebay.
I got a guitar off ebay...fender squire...plays nice...but while looking into upgrading the pickups and doing an overall cleaning a couple months later...found that the neck was cracked...still plays nice but I've retired the ol gal. Did the guy know...maybe not...does it still play...yeah...but in order to adjust the neck I will need a new one...He sold it for pretty damn cheap though...WITH a case..what a deal huh? not really...
then my other situation I already talked about.
I'm not a fan but I've been burned...I don't like the idea of putting my money out there when the possibility of losing it for nothing is not all that unlikely.
header/headers...eh don't worry...I don't flip out so easily...esp. when I know what you mean
As to quality parts...and this has been covered by others other than myself...if you see something sold on ebay for $80 that is normally $800...don't buy it...it's either used and won't last or is not what you think.
but seriously...in that perspective...who would put hundreds-thousands of dollars worth of performance parts on a 13+ year old family sedan valued at 1000-2000 with under 140 hp?
Car guys/gals like us of course...either way the point I'm making there is that you can not cheap out on quality when you want it done right.
I know there are occasions but...come on...I keep hearing over and over about cracking headers bought off ebay...that are "quality".
I just see too many bad cases for it to be worth it...and you're right...so no I prolly won't buy off of of ebay
...but my points remain valid...
Now if you don't like that I don't like ebay...don't read my thread it was made for folks who didn't know about the bad side of ebay any way...not the die hard ebay fans.____
