ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    motor mounts

i have a 10th anniversary accord. and i need to replace the rear motor mount.
    1) I want to make sure that if i can get a lx/dx manual rear mount and braket and use it on my accord.
    2) do i just block off the vacuum ports on the old rear mount?
    3) any pointers on doing it?

The rear mounts are all the same for 90-93 lx/dx/ex accords the only difference is that the autos came with a vacuum operated dampener. If you have an auto just pull out the driver axle it makes it a whole lot easier to get at the bolts and remove it. If you have a manual you might have to take out the intermediate shaft as well as the axle but not sure on that one.
    I need a 14b or 16g turbo!

lx/dx manual rear mount is different than ex rear mount as well as the bracket....if you want to use an lx/dx rear mount on an ex you must get the lx/dx rear bracket.

I thought all the mounts were the same because the engines and trans were the same. What is the difference between the lx/dx and the ex mount/braket

automatic rear mounts use vacuum the 5 speed mount does not......yea in order for the liquid urethane to work you really gotta tape of one side really really really good.I also use the sand in the bucket...i just finished doing another set this weekend successfully...i have done like 3 sets of mounts....check that link out it explains step by step how to fill em.
