hi i was wondoring if its safe to make your car run RICH. with some little tricks. also would it make a big difference?

why would you want to do that? Honda makes their cars run a little rich already.

ok lets say theres a 240sx running mad rich vs a regular 240, the running rich 240 will take it hard, cu 2 of my friends make all there cars rich and they haul ass

I hope that they don't have the sr20 in their cars. and stock KA with just those mods, I don't think so. I've driven in a s14 with a ka twin cam with basic bolt ons, and it wasn't all that. my buddy with cb7 and h22 with only basic bolt ons smoked an s13 with sr20 and down pipe and intercooler and whole nine yards. idk man, unless there not tellin me something cuz wut i heard was if you trick the car thinking its cold outside it will send more gas, so the better combustion

so i might get a colder thermo stat a fuel pump and the injecotrs/fuel rail from a acura vigor or a legend if it fits and tell ya wuts up =]. also advance my timingComment

they do that with hondas too, using a resistor on the intake air temp sensor, all it does it make it run richer, doesn't seem like a good idea to me

IF you like wasting gas go ahead. Whoever told you running rich makes you go faster is a dumbass...I would not take any information from them again...If the 240 is turbo the only reason they run a bit rich is a safety precaution not to blow there motors...if its NA and you think thats fast...you never been in a fast car before.

Running rich actually causes you to make less power, in most cases. Running lean, to a point, will make more power.
More fuel does not equal more power.
