ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

that is really awesome. something that is very unexpected. hmm, sounds like a good idea.

That was YEARS ago as well... I'm not positive, but it may have been before this site existed. Stupid Francis... keeping the potential of the F22 a secret...

I think JG built the head completely for him. I don't believe he ever upgraded the bottom end (this is before I knew him, so the details are vague). There has never been a really good header for the F22 (until Bisi's comes out), and tuning options were probably limited (I doubt Francis had a P06, and I'm pretty sure he never had any sort of standalone). 14.3 with the well worked head, drag radials (probably the same ones I have in my basement ), and little else... Imagine what could be done with a head like that, high compression forged internals, LSD, a great header and intake manifold or ITBs, and a good tune...

When I asked Bisi what his race motor would likely do in a 2600lb CB7, he calculated that about 11.3 would be possible. I've seen a VERY fast built turbo F22 run slightly slower than that! (granted, NONE of us are building Bisi's race motor... but that is, at the moment, what seems to be the ragged edge of the F22's potential)

well, most of the power comes from a good flowing head and a nice cam. with higher compression pistons, that will make you run race gas and tuning is a must. that's why most people that don't have money, like me, tend to go street application. I have built a b18c bottom end with itr piston, and b16 head match ported, skunkworks camshaft, all motor, and it ran good with only 91 pump gas. He wanted to daily drive it, that is why we stuck with the itr pistons. the ecu was just a chipped ecu. then he wanted to turbo it (fucken dumb ass for turboing a high comp. motor) and after a few months with turbo, his shit got stolen. I must say though, that engine setup with the turbo was a killer still. not tuned he did 13.3 and the weather was over 100 degrees outside. he was only pushing about 6 or 7 psi.

A proper tune up will do wonders

          -air filter
          -new spark plugs
          -fuel injectors
          -new fule pump
          -and so on.
-if you have an old engine, try to stay away from "engine cleaners"

once all this is done get the above mentioned turbo...

            WHOA!
            Totally wrong!
Backpressure = Torque (to a point)
The lack of backpressure casues extreme heat to build up in the intake maifold. Exhaust valves burn and no longer funtion.
Take off your header and run the car for a while.....
A stock exhaust will beat a cat-back off the line anyday
My stock F22A1 whoops on B18's with their massive 2.5" exhausts
Sure the 200hp of the B18 beats me in the high end, but Im all about the torque.
