ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

well I know some folks who've gotten decent stuff from ebay...I'm just not trusting of ebay stuff cause you aren't buying from the manufacturer or vendor...you're buying from a "reputable" person

            oh well...hope it works well

They're vendors... authorized vendors, maybe not... vendors of authentic parts, not always. Ebay is a dangerous place for anyone who isn't careful.

Thanks deevergote, that's what I was thinking.

And Steve B, you are correct they are vendors...in the technical sense...but they are not endorsed by the manufacturers...they aren't authorized dealers. So there's no warranty...no guarantee. And no way to get your money back when you don't get your part or you get the wrong part or you get a broken part.

any way...I'm not trusting of 'em...others are...if it turns out good then sweet...if not...well...we warned you...that's all.

Kind of makes me think about starting an internet money handling business where I have both seller and buyer bank account access. I receive money from the buyer and give it to the seller and hold the seller responsible for all items sold. Then if said buyer believes he/she was sold the wrong item or an item in less than described condition I could mediate between buyer/seller until we reached a compromise. If the seller never sent the item I could demand proof of shipment and if not provided hit the seller with an equal amount to purchase price through their bank account to reward the buyer who was mistreated.

Damnit, Paypal beat me to it.

By the way I just checked and Energy Suspension had the cheapest sway bar end links on eBay right now. Better get those things off your car before they break as there are more expensive things out there.

of all things, this is most true. I should get something, as my end links or whatever have wayyyyy too much play in them. and i don't want to get myself killed, good point.

oh, and i also believe that there should be an official "I've used ebay parts and here are how things turned out" forum on this site.

Good idea. I'll be the guinea pig. My old '90 Accord that I gave to my brother had Napa upper control arms put on 4 years ago (50K miles) and right now I have the engine out of it and will be replacing the lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends with eBay parts. The sway bar end links are Energy Suspension only because they were the cheapest on eBay and that seemed the logical decision. I'm an honest person and I will let this board know the first time something goes wrong. I will let you tell me that you told me so.

Also, a motor mount is being replaced too with an eBay part so add that to the list.
