Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    master bushing kit?

    ive read nothing but good stuff about Energy Suspension's complete master bushing kit. i was wondering if anyone here is running it. im buying my kit friday, and am still searching for a shop too install all of them. itll be a bit expensive, but WELL worth it. lmk.

    well worth it if a shop puts it in for you. I've heard nothing but good things about it also, but removing a couple of your 16 year old bushing isn't too fun. But if a shop is gdoing it for you, go ahead man

      we have it ont he project car and i have some on my dd as well.

      it keeps everything tighter on the road however there is a tiny bit of squeaking when going over speed bumps and such.

      it would be easiest to just send the lower control arms and upper control arm anchor style things to be pressed out and jsut re-install the rest.

        the squeeking part of it is easily fixable
        just use some spray lithium grease!

        price wise you would be better off installing the kit yourself!
        a shop will charge you an assload to do the install.

        thats ALOT of labor!

        or if anything install what you can and then take the others to a shop..
        would probably save you a couple hundered dollars!

          ive got connections with a bunch of shops because im the camera man at the races. everyone meets in lakeland for major "events" cause were located between orlando and tampa. its just trying too find out who'll want too do it. ill just sweet talk my ass off......maybe a hand job or 2.....lol. cant race without sacrafice, lol

            Do the easy stuff yourself, and just have the shop do the more difficult ones. It'll save time, which will save money.

              My car dives off in the rear on one side when I am hitting bumps on the freeway. It makes for a weird ride. I was thinking some bushings need to be replaced. Let me know how this works out for you when you get them installed. I will be doing mine myself of course though.

                check your tire pressure first.

                when i first got my cb7, the rear tires would only hold 20psi...i was "floating" with no control over bumps.

                id check the suspension next.

                  the master bushing kit is awesome ..will stiffen the suspension ,make sure to lubricate the bushings or they will squeak...

                  i recommend going to northen tool and buying a manual press for 50 bucks and doing the installation yourself.


                  impact gun, press, some beers, and go ole elbow grease and your in business

                    i have no time. ive been working like 50+ hours a week to obuy my h22 swap. i called one shop and they want $700 (parts and labor)......they were being assholes too, so i just hung up. i might do some of the bushings myself, but im just going too worry about getting all of the bushings first. all the "master bushing kits" dont say if they include the rear suspension also.

                      Summit Racing has the front only sets, and the front and rear sets. $100 versus $200.
                      Although it seems that the inner bushings for the lower arm are never included, or maybe was it the radius rod. Either way, something needs to be purchased separately.

                        I'm running the ES front kit. Its awesome I love the way it feels, you feel every pebble in the road. I did the install myself. The most effective way to get the bushings out I found was to use an acetylene torch and flame the rubber out, then hacksaw and air hammer the metal inserts. But seeing as how you likely don't have access to those tools (I work in automotive shop) I would send to a machine shop. Even with good tools it took me probably ten hours.
