anyone here try projector headlights from ebay?

im using carbon fiber tail lights from ebay, and they have been good so far
i had them on my car for a little over a year

i heard the projectors are good if they have the DOT approval or something, is that true?

i had some on my cb a fe months ago, an i hated them but they can work if you take the time to aim them an find a bulb that works best for you. i had mine running with some fogs an still couldnt see

To tell u the truth.... The light out-put suck ass man... But you can always get a HID kit and change that.... I had some back in the day off of ebay on my old CB... And they looked fine, but the light out-put was worst than stock... hope my .02 helps....

Well, seeing as ebay is an auction site and not a brand, it's hard to say exactly what you'll get in comparison to what others have gotten.


Overall, though... the cheap projectors don't work well. Plus, they look absolutely terrible, IMO.

in MY opinion, lol, if you plan on going HID and dont want to do, or cant afford, a retrofit, then you could go projector. I mean, the overall quality is really what you need to look out for. If you get a pair thats made right and is of decent quality, then you should be ok. Just hook your HIDs and you should be good. I watched a thing on the DIY channel about a guy with projectors and he had shitty output, but they showed how to install HIDs and im guessing he was good.

People run the ebay headlight. The main concern is the light output. They put like a fog bulb in the low beam or something. I jsut remember its a weak ass h3. You convert it to HID changes everything.

Yup the light output sucks and they are really prone to having leaks. They aer cheaply made. I'd stick with OEM or JDM 1 pieces

i saw them at the honda dealership, those things are BRIGHT!

major misalignment if you try to put a HID kit on those ebay projectors. im telling you from experience, just a heads up.

where can i get a good set of projectors that are not "ebay"?
or some other sort of lights, cause i want to replace the entire headlight set, not just the corners or front

HIDs wont help the shitty light out put of shitty ebay projectors as seen here:

HIDs arent meant to be just used as a bulb in a housing...OEM or otherwise (granted they do better than OEM lighting in OEM housings...generally)....They are meant to be put into projectors and although these could be called projectors they dont do a good job of actually projecting the light...Time wasnt taken to aim the light and that is the key....If the light isnt aimed properly in the housing adding more light wont help out much.

Dont waste your money on ebay projectors....Although I do think that there are some reputable projector headlights out there....Its just easier to do a retro fit if you want more light out put
