ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

what tire width are you guys running on? (lowered cb7's)

im using 225's on the front and rear of my car, and my car isn't lowered yet
but when im driving a car full of people, 3 in back, 2 in front. the entire car bottoms out like if it's lowered, and it looks really nice, but the problem is that my tires on the rear are too wide, so it rubs against bottom part of the quarter panel. so i cant really lower my car until i get new tires that are a little smaller in width.
what width do you guys use and does it rub against the car?
    205's or 215's?

205s and 215s dont rub only the 225s cause those are wider and most people who get those are driving real wheel drive cars

205/50-16 on 16x7.5 with 32mm offset: slight rubbing on rear left b/c of the old chassis and too many pot holes.

for everyone who isnt rubbing their tires against car, this is only because of the clearance

but when you pack the car full of people and the car bottoms out, it is either the tire will hit against the car when going into a dip or something
or the tire will just be sitting nicely inside the quarter panel thing

who here has tried with a car full of people, especially the back seat

225/40 R18 all around no rubbing 2" drop.

You have to "roll" the fender edges.

Also adjustable struts help out alot and if you get the wrong offset on you rims they stick out too far and rub regaradless of what you do.

                              edit:
                              no one in the car

If it jams, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacement anyway.
