ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Help please!

My car has had an ongoing issue that is starting to get extremely annoying. I can be going any speed and my car will start sort of stuttering. I'll be trying to accelerate, but my car just won't gain any speed and you can feel it jolting. Then if you floor it, it'll go, but as soon as you let off, it starts doing it again. We were thinking it was maybe my TPS, but I was told that my Check Engine light would come on if that were the case, which it doesn't. We've replaced my distributor, cap, rotor, plugs and wires and that didn't help... Any suggestions?

Check your EGR, EGR Ports, and catalytic converter. Sound like something is clogged somewhere

Thanks guys. I'll check back if it still has issues... And I wish my acorn was flawless. I got hit by a drunk driver in April, so the passenger side rear quarter panel is f*ed and I have no passenger taillight. :-\ My poor car.

I know this thread is over a year old, but I need to bump it... The issue with my car is the same (see OP), but it's gotten REALLY bad, as in it does it all the time now. I didn't have the time or money to mess with my car with I made this thread, but I have to do something now. My CEL has been coming on randomly, so my boyfriend checked the codes and coolant temp sensor and O2 sensor come up. I plan to replace them in the next week or so. Do you think that could be causing the problem? I really want to start cheap to find the issue because I don't have the money to waste. Also, does it vary from car to car whether there are two O2 sensors? I'm not sure if my car has one or two. Thanks for the help!!

I owned a Pontiac Sunbird and when the o2 sensor went it would do the same thing you described. I could accelerate up to about thirty ok and once there is would shutter...almost like it was only firing on two/three cylinders. As soon as I replaced it, back to normal! I definately think the o2 sensor would be a simple quick cheap shot at your problem!

Hopefully that will fix the problem - it would make me ecstatic!!

Can anyone answer the question about the O2 sensors. Do only some cb7's have two? I'm not sure if mine has one or two. I'd like to call and get some prices while I'm at work, so I'll need to know that.

It's only one O2 in cb'7, it should be right on the header(exhaus pipes that coming out from the engine) between motor and radiator. you'll se wires runnig to it and it looks kinda like spurk plug.

The SE accords have them under the car beffore cat.

                      our accords only have one.

depending on which engine you have, it could be right there in the exhaust manifold (F22A1) hidden by the heat shield or it could be under the car just slightly after where the two exhaust pipes come into one but before the catalytic converter (F22A4/A6).

to see which engine you have theres a small flat area right in front of where your front engine mount is. or look for the radiator hose that is coming from your engine that goes to the top of the radiator. it's right under it.

cool, good luck with it. oh yeah if you do have to get a new o2 sensor, make sure to buy a genuine Honda one because the Bosch ones from the autostores don't work too well in our cars.

Ok, thanks for the advice. My boyfriend actually works for Honda, so I get a little discount.
