ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    OBD1 or OBD2?

with my f20b swap (possible h22), should i keep it obd1 or convert too obd2?

my reasoning for keeping it obd 1 is thats what my car is stock and replacement parts should be easier too find.

my reasoning for converting is too beter suit the motor, pretaining too the f20's FULLL swap, that is. itd just be easier too use the injectors, ac, dizzy, and suchforth. BUT i cant use the powersteering.

just give me yalls thoughts and opinions on what you have chosen, or would chose.

bare with me, i decided too post this before i forgot while i was detailing my eg sedan and doing laundry. ive been up for 26 hours now and am feeling the full effects of lack of food and sleep.......ill take care of that tomorrow, lol.

shoud i look for the 92-96 motors or 97+?

                OBDII has more tuning constraints

ive read they have more control and interfere w/any altering of the maps(fuel and ignition)

Did you convert the engine to OBD1, or did you convert the car to OBD2?

If you run an OBD2 engine in an OBD1 car, and keep it OBD2, it's a pain in the ass.

You have to run a lot of other sensors, along with the obd2 ecu, which you will have to get a separate harness for it.

OBD1 makes things easier. You don't need an extra harness, just plug up an obd1 ecu for that engine. Or, plug up a chipped ecu.

Also, you cannot tune OBD2, unless you have super deep pockets.

There are no chipped ECUs in OBD2... not like we know, anyway. The best bet for OBD2 is a full standalone... and many of those will cost more than the engine you're tuning! For a pro racer, they're great. For a hobbyist, totally unnecessary... unless you can afford such expensive toys (and most that can don't tune old Accords!)

                          car to OBD2

took the whole wire harness from the halfcut, and the wiring dude did his magic.

thats how we do it over here.

easy peasy lemon squeezy. no need to find OBD1 injektorz or stuff

just take the whole harness from the donor cut and transplant
