ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

damnit ....im confused i thought the f22ax block was pretty much the same as a f22b2 block and it would use the same sensors and i can use my stock ecu (non vtec) i would have even more issues if i change the ecu i think because i read the following
In 1994 Honda decided to swap pins A11 and A6 (EGR & 02 Heater respectivly). To my knowledge this is the only OBDI car Honda did this on. ANYWAY your choices are
as following:
1.) Swap pins A11 & A6 while you have connector "A" apart adding VTP.
2.) Open up the P0A ECU and cut A11 & A6 and reverse them via internal modification
hey deev....im working on putting a bullfrog ported head f22a, maybe it would be easier if i grabbed a f22a1 block? (thats what is availible at my junkyard)Last edited by camdizawg; 09-20-2007, 12:25 PM.

That might be your best bet. F22A blocks can't be too expensive, even there! Be sure to check your local laws, though. Some states won't allow an older engine to be in a newer car. That they are both OBD1 MIGHT make that OK though.
You'll get more support on here for the F22A anyway... of course, www.CD5tuner.com is going to be going strong in the next day or two

i am not affraid of anyone looking in my engine bay. safety checks dont really involve vin numbers around here. i still dont understand why i cant use my f22b2 block ... are any of the sensors different? and even so im using my same computer and wiring harness so basically my ecu wont even know its a different head i would use the same sensors my f22b2 uses. unless the valvetrain timing is different but i really dont think so.

The unfortunate thing about this site is that while the members here may know the F22A inside and out, the F22B is fairly foreign. Nobody has it as a swap, since it's weaker than the F22A6... just no point! It's a fairly unknown motor around here.
If you can, take some pictures of the engine, showing as much of it as possible (sensor locations, etc...) Post them up, and people can help you compare. That, or hold off for a bit and cd5tuner will probably be helpful!

ya thanx your the man deev! i will definetly be known on cd5tuner. but i think im going with the b1 head for now. btw i dont think quickangel93 is correct cuz if you check the thread below on HT i clearly states that the reverse swap was done without changing a wire harness or anything nasty like that.he changed his ecu so he can get the vtec but that was strictly preference. like you said nobody here REALLY know cuz you guys all hate that motor with a dying passion (f22b2/f22b1) lmao!!! one of the biggest differences i can see is the front motor mount which makes more since to keep my current block cuz its already in there perfect. the biggest issue is timing belt both manifolds water pipe. which i have no problem with. i am still considering the bullfrog head if i can get it cheap.....the guy said it was about 180 HP on his f22a

just fyi i went with the bullfrog head, came with a bullfrog cam, cam gear, headers. all this for under 3 bills. and i still have my h23 intake manifold. all i need is the water pipe. other parts/seals will be purchased when needed. and yea ill put some pics up just got a new digi camera. i expect my wiring harness will plug up to the h23 manifold everything looks the same and i have the diagram for the new coolant setup due to the new thermostat. i might need a couple hoses.Last edited by camdizawg; 09-22-2007, 12:55 AM.
