ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    steering wheel shakes alot..should i

my steering wheel shakes alot while driving and braking

do i have to remove the middle Lugnut in order to remove the tire?

    or just the 4 lugnuts?

should i try to change the front tires to the back ?

No you don't have to take of the middle nut. That keeps your axle in place. Just take off the 4 lugnuts. If your steering wheel shakes while driving then more then likely you need your tires balanced. And if your wheel shakes a lot during braking then you need new rotors on the front of your car, cause they are probably warped.

I had the same problem awhile ago. You need new tires.

jack up your car and shake stuff. hold the tire at the 3 and 9 oclock position and move side to side. hold it at the 12 and 6 o'clock and shake laterally in and out. and also tug at your axle to see if thats loose, thats what my problem was, the axle was so old that it got worn out and the CV joints had TONS of slack. Do all that before you spend money balancing tires.

just take it to someone who can tell you what's wrong.

my first guess would be rotors and tires.

                  probally rotors

and tires cuz i changed the back ones to the front and it doesn't shake as much it barely does to be precise

but i haven't done more than 50 so i'll have to find out

                  but still makes the noise

you usually have to go 65 or so. Lower speeds you wont be able to tell if its the tires. But what noise are you talking about?

My steering wheel used to shake to. I had a cracked axle boot. You will definitely notice this because all of your axle grease will be all over the inside of your wheel. If you turn right and you hear a few pops then you need a new axle. You may just need an alignment when I had mine aligned it didn't shake at all.
As far as when you brake is concerned that would probably be the routers.
