ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

once i get some money i think im gonna go to a junkyard and try to get just a cheap hood to see what it looks like

i kno u can just buy a new hood but i dont like how they would look on my car with out a body kit or some thing along that line

Make sure you have something to cover while raining.

It may cause more harm than good... when moving, the air under the hood isn't much hotter than the outside air. Making a scoop could cause turbulence under the hood, producing any number of undesirable effects. Maybe not, but I don't think it's necessary. Any gains would be minimal anyway.

A better idea would be to fabricate some sort of airbox to cover the SRI filter, with a tube going down into the fenderwell (where the resonator is/was... make sure it's "was") Insulate the box really well, and make sure it's sealed everywhere but at the tube... your SRI will suck in cold air from the fenderwell, but the chances of sucking in water are very unlikely.

OR, just get a CAI with a bypass valve

don't make one, ebay sells 'em for around 50 shipped. Make sure the dimensions are right, or make sure it's for a 1990-1993 honda accord.

I too had this idea...put a scoop on there kinda like the older eclipse's used to have on their hoods. But deev may have a point, wind may cause too much movement under the hood. I imagine if you made a tube or channeled the air directly into the intake, that might work, but then youd need a moving, flexible intake for when you open the hood.

I often contemplated getting a CAI and cutting like 3 or 4 inches off the bottom just to be safe. But i like that fender intake idea

I always wanted to do this, but not there. I wanted to use a
                            Roof Scoop
Since they are more slimer than most normal hood scoops.
This Is what i dont like

Heres a Pic.And i would cut a 2.5 in hole on the hood up by the IM, and place Scoop there. Tru short ram intake!
