ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The ECU is not plug and play in accords...Yea it will plug in but requires more. Its really pointless to use a p28 in a non vtec motor. You can disable it but its just a waste of money when you can get a p06 for a lot cheaper and if you get a vtec motor you can chip it to run vtec also. All these ecu need to be "chipped" to your application you plug em into your car stock without modification your car will run like shit.

I also might add MRX, D112, and some others chip ECU on here and charge cheaper than 300. All chipped and socketed with a basemap.

what kind of mods should be done to my motor for the P06 ecu to work right?

It'll plug in... but that's about it. No ECU is simply plug and play. Hell, my fuel map, which is good but far from perfect (limited time and tools when we tuned it) wouldn't be great for anyone else's motor...

The P28 would work for an F22A, but a P06 is way cheaper. The VTEC functionality of the P28 would be lost on the non-vtec motor.

For $300, it's way too much, as said above. I recently sold a virgin P28 for $75 shipped. It wouldn't be more than another $75 to get it chipped... or if you're comfortable with soldering electronics, $25 for the kit. Then you'd just need to get a map.

There isn't much to gain on a stock or near-stock (bolt ons only) F22A. If you do some MAJOR work, tuning the ECU would be worthwhile... but these cars don't really respond to it all that well.

If you have $300 to spend, there are better things to spend it on.

As for mods... at the very least, you should have an intake, header, good exhaust, and a camshaft. At that point, you could gain some power by leaning out the mixture a bit (carefully) because you'll most likely be running very rich with the stock ECU. Headwork, internals, and an increase in displacement would definitely benefit. Larger injectors would REQUIRE it (well, some sort of programmable fuel management... a chipped ECU is the basic setup, you can get MUCH fancier... there are standalone systems out there worth more than your car and mine put together!)
