How do i wire these?

i know i can get pulled over..blah blah blah

im not turning them on..on the streets

if i buy one of these

led switches

(NOTE: im not buying 100 )

just for example

How do i wire them correctly ?

i don't want to mess nothing up

can i hook the 12v to the wire running to my amp ?

or should i get another wire directly to the battery ?

Id go to the battery and put them on a switch. Ive got a pair of green ones ive been meaning to wire up, but anymore, theyre tacky and, yes, cops dont like them too much.

I ran them off the corner lens back in the day, with a fuse just to be safe.

Battery to a switch then to the sprayers..

When I had mine wired up, years ago, I ran them off of my corner lights. But then of course there was no turning them off without getting under the hood.. The switch is your best bet..

And yes like you already stated, in some states the Police eat cars with these things up like candy.. Later

If you do it, switch is the only option. Wiring them up to EXT vehicle lights require them to be on, plus, if for some reason you get pulled over, you wont be able to turn them off. Ive heard stories of cops making ppl pop the hood and cut the wire. No biggie, but still...

Run a power wire with a fuseable link in it from the battery to the switch. Then run a power wire from the switch to the sprayers. Then run a ground wire from the sprayers to a ground source (i.e. frame, some random bolt, bare metal, just make sure its a good clean source). And FYI you can buy that stuff at your local auto parts store for probably less than $10-$15.

Your sig is crazy. But yeah run a fused wire from the battey to a switch and then back out to the lights or you can use one of the wires from your ignition switch i for get the color (i have not done a alarm in so long) that way you only run one wire through the firewall.

screw it wire them things into outside lighting if the cops pull you over than cut the wire and re wire when you get home...but just my theory either way your drawing unwanted attention to your car with all your led lighting

but still...lights are rice...not flaming you or putting you down...hell I had lights all over mine when I first bought it...even put those *** blue headlights in from autozone...so I'm telling you this as a former newb...don't do lights...especially not on stock...sure this could just be my opinion...but it is shared by the majority of everyone else in the car community...so just an fyi

...focus on something that actually serves a purpose...but if you must go with outward appearance...go for matching rims maybe...or maybe HID upgrade...or LED tail light upgrade...these are pretty AND serve a purpose...

Main point here...you can spend A LOT of money on lights and switches and other junk...and all you have is a heavier stock cb7 with...a bunch of junk...just newb fyi is all.

But if you still want lights...then it is my duty to give you some pointers as this is the newb section. The instructions above are good so I won't add to them...I WILL tell you then some legal stuff (texas laws)...to help keep you away from tickets.

With lights, pretty much anything other than stock is illegal, I'm not sure but I don't think you're even supposed to have your stock interior ceiling light on for extended periods while driving...not sure though.
But from the laws mouth to this page...I know this...If you have lights anywhere (inside or out) the bulbs can not be visible... If they can see the bulb from outside then illegal and ticket. ANY light that shines forward and is blue, green, red (basically any color other than white and orange) and is not for lighting your forward path (running lights/fog lights) are illegal (fog lights and running lights are ok I believe as long as they shine on the road and not up like headlights). Underglow kits...I'm not too sure about, but I know if you can see the bulb itself...or if the light is just too bright they can ticket you.

I got pulled over for the washer lights...ticket...I got pulled over twice for interior stick lights...first time cause they could see the actual bulb, second time cause it was too bright...two different cops, two different cities, and was not fooling around...just driving from work to home. The ticket was in Marshall , and I also got pulled over in Longview and once in Ore City...so it wasn't just a P.O.'d cop or a strict city...

So just be aware of that stuffs too...
