ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I have to agree with Bruno. You need to have that head checked to see if its straight. Also replace that IM gasket. How are you torquing down the head bolts?

i just got the head resurfaced (mill) down to .005 so the head is straight also i bought a new IM gasket and im torquing down the head bolts with a torque wrench. im going to get the head pressure tested so there goes another $50

before or after you removed the head?

Did you clean the mating surfaces before re-installing the head?

It's actually pretty hard to warp a head if you take it off with the engine completely cooled, and in the correct order.

I've taken off my head like 3 times and everything is a-ok. I checked it with a straight edge everytime.

the head was resurfaced the 3rd time i took it off and i really didnt have to get it resurfaced because my machine guy said it wasnt that bad and the new head gasket should of tooken care of it but just to make sure he milled it anyways. now i've asked him to pressure test it to see if there is any cracks and if there isnt any cracks in the head its gotta be the block right?

Did you drain your coolant before taking the head off? Did you clean the inside of the cylinder before putting the head back on? Looks like theres some coolant on your walls.

There is a drain on the back of the block, right below the water pipe, and to the right of the water pump. Its a big bolt looking plug I believe.

that big drain plug is really hard to get off i stop trying after a few tries.

got some more pics of the coolant/water problem

here is a pic of the water inside the head on the exhaust side

but here are the exhaust side head bolts normal no milkshake looking like

here are the head bolts from the intake side only 4 of them are milk shake looking but the middle bolt is fine
