ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

take out the termo cut the inner part out leaving the outter shell with the gasket and put it back. dont know if you guys need the termo up there but in hawaii we really dont need the termostat. is your over flow boiling after a normal run?

im really about to do just that because im stumped.

i jumped it from the battery and it works fine so its no the fan itself.

            1. Recheck connections
            2. Check Fan Switch
            3. Turn on AC see if both turn on.

If its reading normal on temp gauge its good. There is nothing really to worry about...The fans dont come on unless needed...

it is not your thermostat. it could definetly being your tempurature switch, check your manual to see where it is located because i am not sure. but yea for the time you could hook it up to your ignition so it turns on with your key so you dont blow your motor

well in our cars its not a big deal but with OBDII cars thats a serious no no. i dont feel like getting in to it but open loop and closed loop depend on thermo readings and even in OBD I or carb vehicles this is bad without reaching OPTIMUM temps your fuel mileage is gonna suffer and possible loss of power. im not your mom but come on its a 10 dollar part

if i warm up the car and put a continuity tester on the prongs will this tell me if its faulty???

get a volt meter and confirm u have voltage at the fans, if u do then its the fan. if u dont then it can be those 3 things by ur power steering pump, 2 of them are relays and i think the middle thing is too.

that was why my dads wasnt working, one of the silver oens in the rubber thing was bad...cheap fix...no ghetto riggin or doing something weird like takin out thermo.

ever thought about checking fuses as well?
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
