ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Odd Question

Do Honda Accords from the years of 1990-1993 use the same key pattern?

What's the point of having a key if everyone with the same car has the same thing?

There are some repeat patterns, and I have heard of people starting cars with other people's keys... but it's not a common thing.

All you need to do is take something that proves you own the car, to a Honda Dealership and they will look up your VIN and cut you a new key. I had to do that about two weeks after buying the CB.. I learned my lesson that day, never lock your one and only key in the car.. Later

I thought you meant the key itself, like the blank.

I don't think it will start the car, and most likely wont open the door, but my old toyota key would open my friends truck, and start the ignition, so anything is possible.

go down to the honda dealership. all u need is $10 and the registration and they will make u a key.

ive locked my self out of my car sooo many times.

but what happened to me is that the ppl that sold me the car gave me the valet key and that will only lock and unlock the door and start the car

What if you keep all your paperwork in your car??

Someone was telling me you shouldnt do that...now that i think about it, that might be a good idea. I just keep it in there in case i get pulled over

If you end up having to go to Honda to get a new key, while youre at it, get 2 and keep one at your house or give to a friend or your parents or something. Ive got 2 fobs for my alarm and i keep one on my key ring and the other at home and my mom has my 2nd car key, so..lol. GL with it though.

BTW-i thought CBs had that "anti-lock-yourself-out" option like when im getting out of my car, when i hit the lock button, it locks all but my door. I either have to hold the handle ro lock it manually from the outside....

Why wouldnt you just break in your own car? CBs are soo easy to break in it isnt even funny. Who gives a fuck if a cop comes up and thinks you stealing a car, once you done just show him your papers.

Yea, it does, but that doesn't always work if you're not paying attention. I had never locked my keys in my car until 2 weeks ago when I locked myself out of the car with the keys in the ignition lol.

Hence why I always lock my car with the key from the outside. Just in case, I keep a spare key within easy reach. Even if I lock my keys in the car accidentally, VOILA! I'm back inside in a flash without having to break into the car.

Previous reposts are correct, though. You can easily have a new key cut at your local Honda dealer. Just bring in your registration. I work at a Harley dealer, so I'm pretty familiar with the process, although we have to order keys, we can't make them. (Barrel keys and all...)
