speed limiter??

so i was really getting on my car the other day and at like 110 the car acted like i hit the speed limiter. it backed itself down like 5 to 10 mph. It shouldn't kick in at that speed should it?? i have a h22 w/ a p13. I really think that after i did the swap that we had it at like 120.

if this is true then do i have to get a chipped p28 to get around this?

JDM ECUs have a limiter, USDM do not, I believe.

A chipped P28 would fix it, though.


However, seeing as the national speed limit is 65, with a few 75mph exceptions in the really empty parts of the country, why do you want to go that fast anyway?

Haha yea and you prob wont trap over 100 with a stock bolt on h22a anyway at the quarter.

i've had my f22a1 up to 130mph racing my friends 5.0....needless to say my motor was didnt have any go after 130 and the stang did....but I had his ass till 130..I have alot done to my cb7 but internally its all stock...and yeah these cb's are the most bulletproof car ive ever owned..and man dont try and push your car.....coming from experience..after dusting a v-6 probe can he was being a dick....i was watching him to see how far ahead of him i was(which was about 3 car length's)..I wasnt watching oncoming traffic and damn near hit a biker going 120....i had to whip back into the lane hard and got speed wobbles...that was by far the scariest thing that has ever happen to me and it deff opened my eyes to how stupid that shit is....leave the speed limiter in...dont worry about it

yeah i know speeding like that is stupid and i almost put in my thread that i dont drive like this normally, but i just put the engine in and the one other time it was pushed it was my friend driving and i told him to push it alittle.

this time it was just me and i thought "let me see what this engine has".
Sometimes you just gotta know what ur cars potential is!!

i deff dont street race but the limiter pissed me off. i was like WTF is this.

I'd bet EVERYONE on this site has, at least once, pushed there car to "see what its got"

Most i've done is 80 for now

my steering wheel shakes alot at HIGH Speeds

i have a weird tires on my rims and that's problem one reason why

plus rotors go bad in hondas ALOT and im guessing that's another problem

but i pick up 0-60 PRETTY Quick
